AI–DASH SYSTEMS

I bridge the gap between complex data systems and real-world operations. I provide deeply technical software integration, AI capabilities, and operational optimization for small-to-medium organizations across the private, public, and academic sectors.

As a former biopharmaceutical startup CTO with a PhD in machine learning and neuroscience, I bring 13 years of unique experience solving organizational and technical problems. Having navigated environments ranging from Shell and the NHS to early-stage startups and academia, I know not only how to write code, but also how to design and deploy robust yet user-friendly systems.

My recent work includes:

• Real-time data integration and feedback loops on bioreactor systems for an AAV gene therapy production line.
• Configuring an Odoo ERP system for full 360-degree traceability of quality control, inventory moves and financial operations.
• Deploying an AI-based medical early warning system for 5 million Scottish patients by integrating and training a model on a variety of disparate datasets.
• Helping launch a £50 million grant programme as a technical expert on protein-based advanced materials manufacturing, for the UK's new innovation agency, ARIA (link).

I am also proud of my contribution to the UK's Covid policy-making, via my white paper published 24 April 2020 (link). For this, in only 4 weeks, I integrated available public health datasets, then implemented and trained a complex mechanistic machine learning model on a large AWS cloud cluster in a highly parallelised manner. The results elucidated the health and economic importance of using rapid lateral flow tests in addition to RT-PCR testing. These findings were presented in a June 2020 COBR meeting, and helped shift testing policy by August 2020.

My primary strength is in quickly understanding complex systems and information flows. I speak the language of a variety of stakeholders ranging from CEOs and VC investors, to engineers, doctors, scientists, and on-the-floor quality control professionals.

This synthesis enables me to implement focused, minimal and non-disruptive operational interventions via high-quality software integrations that are a pleasure to use day-to-day. These then ensure better data integrity, visibility and direct value for everyone in your organisation.
